Introduction

This “Annapurna Base Camp via Poonhill Trek” covers two popular trekking route in the Annapurna Region and offers a great experience of a soft adventure walk in the countryside area of the Annapurna region. This trek takes you to the viewpoint from where you can get a close view of the mountain ranges including the world’s 7th highest peak, Mt. Dhaulagiri I (8,167m) and 10th highest peak, Mt. Annapurna I (8,091m) and other peaks such as Mt. Annapurna South (7,219m), Mt. Fishtail (6,993), Hiunchuli (6,441m) and many smaller peaks.

The Annapurna Sanctuary is a high glacial basin lying 40 km directly north of Pokhara. This oval-shaped plateau sits at an altitude of 4,130 meters and is surrounded by a ring of mountains, the Annapurna range, most of which are over 7000 meters.

This trek incorporates diverse terrain, culture, and wildlife along with the most spectacular and close-up view of Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and Dhaulagiri. In spring it showcases many beautiful flowers including the national flower of Nepal – Rhododendron.

We focus on the safety and healthy performances of trekkers above 3000m with ample acclimatization days to minimize the risk of High Altitude Sickness. We provide a wilderness first aid treatment and backup oxygen concentrator with modern masks and regulators.
