Everest Base Camp Trek is one of the most popular trekking destination and preferred by most of the hikers and trekkers of all around the world as one can step onto the elevation above 5000m and get to witness the highest point of earth surface, Mt. Everest (8848.86m).
This 17-day program also includes trekking to the base camp of the world’s highest peak, Mt. Everest (8,848.86m) involving a tremendous amount of up-and-down walking. All the rivers in this part of Nepal flow south from Himalayan glaciers, but the trek route proceeds east. Therefore, the trail must climb to the ridge that separates two rivers, descend to the river itself, and ascend to the next ridge. The trek begins as soon as we land at Tenzing Hillary Airport, Lukla (2,840m) , the gateway of Everest Region with the welcome view by Mt. Numbur and Kongde Ri. After considerable uphill climbing, we will reach to the elevation of 5,364m/18,018ft within 8 days and further gain an elevation up to 5,545m (Kalapatthar Hill). The trekkers also get a close view of the world’s greater mountains such as Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku, Pumori, Cholatse, Amadablam, Lobuche, Tawache and many other peaks. The route traverse through rhododendrons and pine forests, lush pastures, rivers, Sherpa villages and Buddhist Monasteries from temperate to snowline regions.
