Choosing an adventure trek to an off-beaten trekking trail of Makalu Barun Region takes us to the foothill of the world’s fifth highest peak of the world, Mt. Manaslu (8,463m), Mt. Chamlang (7,319m), Baruntse (7,129m), and other beautiful peaks, landscapes and vegetation.
This 22 days of trekking starts right after landing at Tumlingtar Airport and get into the local vehicle upto Num. The walk starts from Num with numerous ups and downs to reach Makalu Base Camp (4,850m). We will retrace back following the same route upto Num and back to Tumlingtar. With the ample services of teahouse lodges, it has been fully organized trek and getting more popularized as of its isolated feature. On the way, a day-long side trip to the religious site, Shiva Dhara and Parvati Gufa is attracting pilgrims and domestic trekkers as well because of its religious significance.

Best Season
Spring Season (March-May) and Autumn Season (September to Early December) are considered as the best time to go Makalu Base Camp as we can expect mild temperature in the day and night and clear blue sky. However, the unpredictable weather pattern of mountain can cause frequent changes in the weather of specific places. Before trekking, we will inform the estimated weather pattern and temperature for trekking period during briefing session.

As we do trekking from temperate to snowline regions, we will experience difference in temperature, so we must be prepared to tackle the hazardous situation. We focus on the safety and healthy performances of trekkers above 3000m with ample acclimatization days to minimize the risk of High Altitude Sickness. We provide a wilderness first aid treatment and backup oxygen concentrator with modern masks and regulators.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by a beautiful garland of seasonal flowers at the gate of the International Arrival Terminal.
With the final counting and loading of luggage into the vehicle, you will transfer to the hotel and check in.
After welcome refreshments, there will be a short briefing with the Infusion Trip Adventure Representative. You will get general information and orientation about the tour or trek.
Then you have free time in Kathmandu. You can explore the city.
In the evening – welcome dinner and traditional show in an authentic Nepali restaurant in Kathmandu. You will enjoy your dinner with different types of dances.

Day 17: Backtrack to Khongma Danda (3,622m/11,880ft)
Day 18: Backtrack to Seduwa (1,628m/5,340ft)
Day 19: Backtrack to Num – 3 hours and drive back to Tumlingtar (518m/1,700ft)
Day 20: Fly back to Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel
Day 21: Contingency day on trek or Kathmandu in case of bad weather or health issues.
Day 22: Transfer to International Airport for final departure.
