Introduction

Mohare Danda Trek, also referred as Myagdi Community Trek or Mohare Danda Community Trek, is a short and easy trekking destination with ample of beautiful and stunning mountain views, isolated communities, lush and green forest of rhododendron, oak, fir and pine.

This trek offers the guest to experience the local lifestyle, culture and traditions, costumes, stay-cation at the community based Homestays throughout the trekking days. From the top of Mohare Hill (3,314m), beautiful sunsets and sunrises, the magnificent view of the Annapurna Ranges including Machhapuchhre (6,993 m), Annapurna South (7219m), Hiunchuli (6441m) and Dhaulagiri Ranges including Nilgiri (7,061 m), Tukuche (6,920 m) and Dhaulagiri (8163m) featured the major highlights of this trek.

This trek can be an alternative trekking destinations to Poonhill-Ghandruk Trek as there will be less crowd of foreign and local tourist. The contribution of Mahabir Pun, a pioneer who implemented wireless technology in Nepal’s Annapurna region, has changed the concept of unmanaged tourists movement into a popular trekking destination and named as ‘Community Eco-Lodge Trek’ where the lodges are operated by local people.

Best Time to Visit

Except for the Monsoon season (Mid-June to September), any month of the year is a suitable time to go to Mohare Danda Trek as we will walk in the perfect stone-laid trail. During the winter season, we may get snow on the trail.

Regarding the weather, the unpredictable weather pattern of mountains can cause frequent changes in the weather of specific places. Before trekking, we will inform the estimated weather pattern and temperature for the trekking period during the briefing session.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by a beautiful garland of seasonal flowers at the gate of the International Arrival Terminal.
With the final counting and loading of luggage into the vehicle, you will transfer to the hotel and check in.

After welcome refreshments, there will be a short briefing with the Infusion Trip Adventure Representative. You will get general information and orientation about the tour or trek.

Then you have free time in Kathmandu. You can explore the city.

In the evening – welcome dinner and traditional show in an authentic Nepali restaurant in Kathmandu. You will enjoy your dinner with different types of dances.

Day 02: Fly to Pokhara; drive to Galeshwor and Trek to Bans kharka (1,540m/5,060ft)

After breakfast, we leave our hotel early morning to board a flight to Pokhara – 25 Min. And we take three and half hours drive to Galeshwor along bank of Kali Gandai river. And we begin our trek  to Bans Kharka. It is about 3 hours ascend hike by crossing suspension bridge over deepest gorge “Kali Gandaki river” through green forest.

Day 03: Trek to Naangi (2,340m/7,678ft)

After having breakfast and extends our trek to Nangi. It is about 6-7 hours walk from Bans Kharka which goes along beautiful villages, stunning views of mountains and impressive landscapes. We also visit organic farm school and Magar settlement on this day.

Day 05: Trek to Mohare Danda (3,314m/10,870ft)

After having breakfast, start trek to Mohare Danda. Today’s trail goes through beautiful forests of Oak and Rhododendrons with magnificent views of mountains such as Mt. Fishtail, south Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Tukche and many more. In the evening, we observe glorious sunset view from Mohare hill station.

Day 05: Trek to Tikot (2,270m/7,448ft)

Wake up early in the morning for sunrise view and crystial clear mountain views such as mount Fishtail, Dhaulagiri I, Dhaulagiri II, Tukche, South Annapurna, Nilgiri and others, then after breakfast our trail leads gradually down to Tikot Village.

Day 06: Trek to Bashari (1,000m) and drive back to Pokhara (810m/2,658ft)

Leaving Tikot Village, start to descend through the forest trail all the way to the bank of Kaligandaki River and cross the suspension bridge and reach to Bashari (1,000m). This is the trek ending point.

Upon arrival at Bashari, we will meet the waiting vehicle and start scenic drive to Pokhara. On the way, we will stop at Kushma and engage in the thrill adventure of Bungee Jumping at World’s second highest junping (228m).  Also, do sky-cycling, swings, and many more. Then continue drive to Pokhara. Upon arrival in Pokhara, transfer and check into the hotel.

Day 09: Fly back to Kathmandu (1,350m/4,428ft)

Timely check out and transfer to Pokhara Domestic Airport to board an onward flight to Kathmandu for about 25 minutes.

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to the hotel and check in. You will have time to relax after the long journey, breathe easily and just rest at your hotel before completing your Himalayan Adventure with us.

Eve: Farewell Dinner at an authentic restaurant in Kathmandu.

Day 10: Transfer to International Airport for final departure.

Timely transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport to board an onward flight to home country 3 hours earlier than the scheduled flight departing time. We wish you a happy journey during your flight from Nepal to your home country with the hope to see you on your next visit to Nepal.
