Introduction

Amadablam Base Camp Trek is one of the fascinating trips to the world’s most beautiful and colossal peak of Mt. Amadablam. Undoubtedly this Amadablam Trek in the Everest region offers superb views of Mount Everest and unforgettable scenery of its base camp. The pristine lake at the base camp with Himalayan peaks is the best. Amadablam means “Mother’s necklace”; the long ridges on each side are like the arms of a mother (ama) protecting her child, and the hanging glacier is thought of as the Dablam, the traditional double-pendant containing pictures of the gods, worn by Sherpa women. For its soaring ridges and steep faces Amadablam is sometimes referred to as the “Matterhorn of the Himalayas.” The main peak is 6,812 meters (22,349 ft.), and the lower western peak is 6,170 meters (20,243 ft.).
